Welcome to the Stockholm Players!
The Stockholm Players is an amateur dramatic society, the aims of which are to stimulate and support interest in drama in the English language. With roots in the 1920’s, the Stockholm Players is by far the oldest English-language theatre group in Sweden.
In addition to staging several major productions a year, the Stockholm Players runs an ongoing programme of informal play readings, theatre visits, improvisational playtimes, cabarets, workshops and other theatre-related activities. Notwithstanding its amateur status, the company has distinguished itself by consistently offering high-standard performances. In recent years, the Stockholm Players have walked off with some of the most prestigious awards at the annual Festival for European Anglophone Theatrical Societies (FEATS).
Its members are drawn from various walks of life and nationalities. However, they all have one common denominator - their love of English language theatre.
